Just Random Stuff

First off, I am wondering if anyone knows what this Chinese character means? I ordered this T-shirt for Holly and then realized that I have no idea what it says. It could say something naughty or mean! I wouldn't want her wearing it in that case!
Recently, Holly has taken to dragging one of her diaper bags around the house. She has figured out how to work the zipper, so she had to investigate exactly what all was in there! She took everything out and put it all back in several times before it dawned on her that there were ziplock baggies in there!
She spent an exceptionally long time trying to open a couple of the ziplocks and finally got one open! That one wasn't very exciting, since she had a clean diaper on, so...
she decided that the one with the snacks in it would be a better one to open. Here she is with her chipmunk cheeks stuffed full of puffs! She ate the entire snack sized ziplock full of them.
After her snack, it was back to playing. She decided to crawl into the diaper bag and play for a while. I have a couple of pictures of her falling over or trying to get out of it, but they are kind of blurry, so I didn't post them here.
Whew! After all that work, it was time to take a little rest! Just chillin' out on the floor.
Another day this week, Holly discovered PURSES!!! She saw me changing into a new purse and played with the other one for a while. Then, I decided to get a couple out of my closet for her to play with all she wants to. She isn't big on putting things into them yet, but she likes to take one with us when we go somewhere. God help me! I hope I don't have a diva on my hands! :-)
She loves to run around the house with her purses. Here she is with both of them at once. One has short straps and one has long straps, so she can just drag one around while she slings the other one over her shoulder.
On Sunday we were getting ready to go to the Spokane China Families picnic. While I was getting our food dish ready, Holly sat on the coffee table and read her Fluttery Butterfly book to herself. It makes me so happy to know that she LOVES to read! She reads to herself, brings books to me to read to her, and has a three "must read" books at bedtime. Fortunately, I love all three of them. Check back with me in a couple of months to see if I say the same thing!
I took the camera to the picnic so I could take some pictures of Holly with the other kids. She is by far the youngest and the other kids were not particularly interested in her, so I didn't get any of them together. I also forgot to have someone take a couple of the two of us (I have post-placement pictures I need to get done very soon and don't have any of us together!). Here is the one picture that I managed to get of her. She's just cruising along eating a cookie. *Sigh!* Sometimes I think I am hopeless. I seem to only get pictures when I don't NEED them or really want them.
Holly was really cute last night while I was making dinner. I used the last of a box of pasta and gave her the box. She immediately went and got Bunny, then stuffed him into the box. She opened and closed the box a number of times and finally decided to take Bunny out. At least it kept her busy while I was cooking, though!
Tomorrow, we are going to Coeur d'Alene to see a friend who is visiting from Michigan. Maybe I can remember to have her take some pictures of Holly and I together!

I found out from a friend that the character on Holly's shirt is bao (3rd tone), which means "baby" (actually bao bao). So it's perfectly fine for Holly to wear -- except that she's not a baby anymore. She's growing up so fast!

Glad to see things are going well for the two of you! You're both looking so happy.
